WHAT TO EXPECT:

Thanks to the TD Park People Grant, our theme for this month's event is about environmental awareness and taking care of the land we reside on.

Before the movies begin, we'll come together to do a park clean up at Harmony Park 和園 , starting at 6:45pm.

As a thank you for our volunteers who take part in the park clean up, we will have an assortment of Banh Mi Subs from Ami Tea located in Calgary's Chinatown.

? Our first film is the short documentary In love with a problem, directed by Julie Kim from Vancouver, where two innovative teens set out to rid the world of plastic waste.

For our feature film, we are screening the 2016 Hong Kong film The Mermaid 美人魚, directed by Stephen Chow. Known for his comedic films like The God of Cookery, Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, get ready for a wacky and fun time with tons of laughs, and a lot of heart.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

? This is an outdoor screening so please dress appropriately!

??You are welcomed to bring your own food and drinks to the screening, and there will be other snacks and drinks for purchase.

?There will be folding chairs provided, but feel free to bring your own lawn chair, blanket or whatever makes you feel comfortable!
