THE REUNION JOURNEY

China Film Showcase 2026

The Reunion Journey (also known as Family Reunion) is described as China's first fully AI-produced animated film, marking a milestone in the use of artificial intelligence in filmmaking.

The story follows Tuanzai, a young panda whose family is torn apart by the evil eagle Granny Bi. Rescued by a wise monkey master, Tuanzai embarks on an extraordinary adventure to save his sister, Yuanniu, and restore peace to the world.

To defeat Granny Bi, he must master the five elemental powers—Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth—and become the new Five Elements Master. Along the way, Tuanzai faces formidable challenges, discovers his inner strength and undergoes a remarkable transformation. Through courage, determination and the power of family bonds, he ultimately triumphs over evil and reunites with his loved ones.
