A solo exhibition by multimedia artist Jacob Matthew Dix
Luma Art Sundays is pleased to present Chimera, a solo exhibition by multimedia artist Jacob Matthew Dix @mobilographynet , opening Sunday, November 8, at 15:00 at Marani Georgian Restaurant @marani.bar in Stockholm.
Inspired by the Chimera of Greek mythology — a mythical creature composed of parts of different animals — the exhibition explores the complexity of human identity, the relationship between nature and structure, and the meeting of contrasting worlds.
Through mushroom spore printing, photography, pen and ink, and digital editing, Jacob brings together organic forms and pixelated geometry, creating a visual dialogue between the raw, unpredictable beauty of nature and the order of the digital world. His work moves between the primitive and the futuristic, the organic and the constructed, inviting us to reflect on the many layers that make us who we are.
The exhibition also features Jacob’s video art, with hypnotic geometric forms and mesmerising visual patterns that extend the experience beyond the physical artwork.
Art, moving images and sound come together in a shared experience, accompanied by a live electronic music performance by Marque Gilmore @inna_most.
Set within the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Marani Georgian Restaurant, Chimera invites you to experience art in a different way, through visual exploration, sound, conversation and connection.
