Chiltern Welcomes Film Night Fundraiser - The Old Oak

Come join us for a showing of The Old Oak in the comfort of the historic Barn at the Beacon School, Chesham Bois and help us raise funds to support refugee families in our local area.

In what may be Ken Loach's final film, working class anger is directed at foreign newcomers in a struggling former mining community. However, the local pub landlord's blossoming friendship with Syrian refugee Yara delivers a compelling message of hope and the importance of understanding and community in difficult times.

Tickets include film showing, vegetarian snack pack made by a local Syrian refugee family and a soft drink. Wine will be available for a suggested donation, card payments accepted. There will also be a raffle draw to raise money for our first Afghan family arriving soon; tickets can be purchased in advance or on the evening.

All funds raised will go towards our work with local refugee families.
