About this Event
The Issue: With upcoming changes to Medicaid, it is essential to create spaces for open dialogue where information can be shared and processes can be clearly explained. Children’s health coverage is a critical issue as it directly affects their physical and emotional development and is closely linked to access and preventive care. When children are covered by Medicaid, families experience reduced financial strain, and child mortality rates decline.
Through this event, our panel of experts will share timely updates and valuable resources with families, providers, and community-based organizations. Ensuring children have access to health coverage not only strengthens communities but also supports long-term economic stability, with significant public health implications for our community. SPA 4 and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) will host a panel discussion on upcoming Medicaid changes, children’s health coverage, and strategies for families to maintain access to care.
