Children's Art Discovery Class: Finding the Light

Join us for a FREE Children's Art Discovery Class focused on light and shadow! After a scavenger hunt in the gallery, we'll look at how artists use transitions and contrasts between light and shadow to create realistic paintings with dynamic compositions. Then we'll try it out with a fun art-making activity! Intended for ages 5-12.

These family-friendly events provide a fun and educational opportunity for children in the community to learn about the different aspects of art-making including color, values, perspective, and design. Our goal is to help children see the artworks in our gallery through an artist's eye with discussions, hands-on learning, and art-making experiences.
