Childcare Provider Training: The How's and Why's of Assessments

The training will highlight the importance of observation, documentation, and using assessments when working with young children. The presentation will encourage participants to think about the why, when, where, and how associated with making observations of children as well as documenting what has been observed. We will discuss how it can be helpful for planning, implementation, building relationships, recognizing, and supporting emerging skills, etc. Different types of observation, documentation, and assessment tools will be shared.
