The well-being and safety of children are vital. With the help of MinistrySafe, this workshop will address the risk of child sexual abuse in the local church and offer resources for prevention.This Training is FREE thanks to the generosity of Georgia Baptist Churches through the Cooperative Program.
The focus of the workshops will be on the new challenges related to child sexual abuse in ministry. It is important that churches understand the new insurance requirements, legislative changes, and how predators have adapted through online contact with children.
The events will provide an overview of steps to deal with the ‘old’ challenges while at the same time correctly navigating the ‘new’ challenges. As always, the well-being and safety of children are vital to every home and church!
Dr. Gregory Love is a recognized expert in legal standards of care related to child sexual abuse, providing crisis response to ministries and churches nationwide. His unique perspective provides valuable counsel to ministry and secular consulting clients. He is a shareholder and partner in the law firm of Love & Norris. Love serves as a co-founder of MinistrySafe and Abuse Prevention Systems.
With the help of MinistrySafe, this workshop will address the risk of child sexual abuse in the local church and offer resources for prevention.
Registration is required, and lunch will be provided. There is no cost to you.
There are two workshops. One will be live-streamed, the other will not.
However, all who register for either workshop will have an extended capability to view a video recording of the teaching for at least three months.
