Child-Centered Play Therapy with Tweens and Teens

This 6-hour training examines how the Child-Centered Play Therapy model applies to tweens and teens. Participants will explore the foundational beliefs of CCPT and how they remain developmentally appropriate for older youth. The training outlines the structure of a CCPT session with adolescents, provides opportunities to practice facilitative responses, and addresses common clinical and ethical challenges in teen work.

Emphasis is placed on relationship, autonomy, and the therapist’s role in creating a safe, accepting environment where adolescents can grow at their own pace.
