National Child Abuse Prevention Month recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to strengthen families to prevent child abuse and neglect. At Neighborhood House, we work to collaborate with prevention organization and services that support and help protect children and produce thriving families. During the month of April, to promote prevention, we will be hosting events and sharing information all month long.
April 3 - 7
Visit Neighborhood House and receive information about child abuse prevention and a ribbon made by our Youth participants
April 10 -14
Check out our social media channels for information, resources and child abuse facts
April 17 – 21
Visit Neighborhood House to see and participate in an art installation designed by our Youth Program and Parent and Early Childhood Education (PECE) youth participants
April 24 - 28
Stop by the Neighborhood House lobby to view panel boards from ACES (Preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences) for a visual informative experience
April 27
From 6 PM to 7:30 PM, please join us for a light dinner as we listen to Lisa Deputie, the Director of Prevention Initiatives from FamilyWise (familywiseservices.org) present on N.E.A.R Science - Neurobiology, Epigenetics, ACEs and Resiliency.
