Vix Leyton - Chief Petty Officer
What do 50 Cent, elephants, Lord Buckethead and the wife of the man who definitely did not buy adult films on Virgin Media have in common?
You’ll find out.

Chief Petty Officer is a sharp, visually driven comedy lecture about history’s smallest grudges and the moment they go too far. From imperial overreach to pop culture beefs, stand-up comedian and consumer champion Vix Leyton dissects petty acts that accidentally changed the world, plotting them on an ambitious scientific framework to determine who stopped at the peak – and who disastrously doubled down. Smart, structured nonsense with bite, insight and a whole lot of laughs. Vix is serious about pettiness, and she has a lot of views to share.

Perfect for a BBC Radio 4-leaning brain, history lovers, anyone who has ever briefly considered placing Lego in someone’s shoe, and 50 Cent - he'll love this.
Discovered by Mark Watson on Twitter in 2019, Welsh comic Vix Leyton is a natural storyteller with a keen eye for observation, combining warm, whimsical charm, as well as a PR hustler. You’ve maybe heard of her, you just might not know how – could be comedy, could be her consumer champion alter-ego who talks about Clubcard points on BBC morning Live. A Funny Women awards finalist named as ‘One to watch’ in 2023 and also Not so new comedian of the year 2024 finalist and Beat The Frog World Series contestant.
Her panel show podcast The Comedy Arcade is both an audio success and compelling live show, picking up a nomination for Leicester Comedy’s best podcast in 2021 and racking up sell out shows at Edinburgh Fringe five years in a row. Regular MC for pro nights including Red Imp Comedy, and Outside the Box, The Stand and Avalon weekender. Her 4* Debut solo show Antihero was adapted as a special for Outflix.
Robin Ince: “Bursting with impish energy, exudes an infectious delight”
Mark Watson: “Vix has a talent for reading a room and playing with an audience. She is funny, charismatic, resourceful and likely to achieve great things"
Marc Burrows
What are the ten best songs of all time? In this warm, funny, music-led stand-up show, Marc Burrows counts down his definitive top ten songs (no arguments), using them to tell the story of a life shaped by music, an autobiography told through bass guitar, bad sex and Britpop.
Originally performed at the 2014 Fringe ("A joyful celebration of the power of music ... possibly the coolest act on the fringe" - Broadway Baby ★★★★), Burrows rewrites his most personal show informed by a decade in which he has played Glastonbury (three times!) and Download with a band, written four books on music and pop culture (the latest a #1 Best Seller on Amazon's Music Books chart) and toured the world (well, the US, UK and Australia).
