Veteran-owned, family-inspired restaurant brings gluten- and dairy-free fried chicken to the communityProvo, UT – Chicken Boy, a new gluten- and dairy-free fried chicken restaurant, is thrilled to announce its grand opening dinner service on Friday, August 30th, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Following the launch, regular hours will begin the following week, operating Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for lunch, and 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for dinner.
The restaurant concept was first born in 2023 as a food trailer and quickly gained attention after a highly successful debut at the 2023 World Gluten Free Expo. Inspired by his nieces’ needs and family traditions, Owner Jared Cuevas, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, along with his brother and Co-Owner Jonathan (Jonny) Cuevas, developed a menu utilizing his family’s secret recipe that celebrates comfort food without compromise.
All Chicken Boy menu items are 100% gluten-free, dairy-free, and fried in beef tallow—with no seed oils. This dedication to quality and inclusivity reflects the Cuevas family’s mission to create delicious food that can be enjoyed by all, especially those with dietary restrictions.
“Chicken Boy started as a way to make sure my daughters, who have celiac disease, could still enjoy fried chicken with the family,” said Owner Jonny Cuevas. “Now we’re excited to share that same joy with the entire community.”
