About this Event
This is an event for all people (families and youth are welcome) to celebrate our Indigenous roots and traditions and how it has tranformed in today's time. Celebrating our Indigenous roots through stories, song, food, community connections, and time. This is an opportunity to share this ancestral drink with our community because that's the social purpose of making chicha, it's a community practice to be shared. We are happy to share this drink that is the result of the corn we planted and grew on Nisenan Land in collaboration with NorCal Resist's Urban Farm and give a first step towards collective food sovereignty.
