Chicas in the Afternoon 2024

Join us for a sun-drenched, day-time Pride extravaganza on Sun Aug 4, 2024, 4pm-9pm at Sheraton Wall Centre 1000 Burrard Street, Vancouver. Right after the parade, Chicas is where you belong, because it’s where everyone belongs. This is THE garden party of the summer. This deluxe day-club has phenomenal music (DJ & live vocals), two dance floors, one inside, one out, and a grassy garden of rainbow delights. Sip frosty cocktails or mocktails on a picnic blanket, lounge on an inflatable unicorn, play games on the lawn, and celebrate the power and pleasure of the Pride community—all steps from Davie village. Invite anyone you like, everyone is welcome.

This year, Chicas welcomes the long-awaited DJ & singer extraordinaire, BLK PRL (previously Sandy Duperval, Montreal). BLK PRL has recorded songs with Cissy Houston (Whitney Houston’s mother), participated on Star Académie, Quebec’s most-watched reality TV show (think American Idol), and had an 11-year residency at Unity Nightclub, one of Montreal’s highly respected 2SLGBTQ+ clubs. Her unique sound—fusing incredible vocals with feel-good tracks—has packed dancefloors in Europe, Asia, the U.S, North Africa, and the Middle East. And of course, she’ll be joined by Pride vets Riki Rocket, Slade, and HollaHolly.

Flygirl produces award-winning events for lesbian, bi-sexual and queer women, LGBTQIA folks and all allies to party, connect with new friends, and maybe even find someone special. Our events are inclusive of all genders, sexualities, ethnicities, and body-types.
