About this Event
Attend this workshop for a chance to win a native plant delivery to your garden!
Urban gardens can be a haven for pollinators, and providing resources for them will help pollinate your crops in return. However, some methods of promoting pollinators and other beneficial wildlife may attract unwanted pests if not maintained properly. Join us to learn how to start planting for pollinators while preventing rats. This workshop is the first in the Chicago Rat Academy series, and will highlight this tricky balancing act.
In Part 1, learn how to balance leaving resources for pollinators while preventing rats. In Part 2, learn about the different abatement methods you can practice in your community garden with live demonstrations. In Part 3, take what you've learned and plan to create a rat control program for your garden.
