National Pizza Day is a day to celebrate one of America's favorite foods, and what better way to celebrate than in the city that's known for its delicious pizza – Chicago! The Chicago Food Stop is proud to host "Celebrating Chicago Pizza on National Pizza Day" on February 9th, 2023 from 12 pm to 6 pm CST.
12/noon to 1 pm: Home Run Inn Pizza will be giving away 500 6" pizzas, while supplies last. This is the perfect opportunity to try one of Chicago's most beloved pizza brands and kick off National Pizza Day in style.
4 pm to 6 pm: the celebration continue with a panel discussion hosted by Steve Dolinsky, a renowned food journalist and pizza expert, featuring the owners of three of Chicago's most iconic pizza institutions: Nancy's Pizzeria, representing deep dish pizza, MyPi, known for its stuffed pizza, and Vito & Nick Pizzeria, a thin pizza institution. This all-star panel will delve into the nuances of pizza in Chicago, discussing the history, techniques, and unique characteristics that make Chicago pizza so special.
