Sunday August 23rd, the return of the Granddaddy of Chicago funk/soul bands, BUMPUS!
This show will include a special one set tribute to the iconic Sly and the Family Stone! Sly and the Family Stone blended elements of funk, soul, psychedelic rock, gospel, and R&B and were a pivotal influence on subsequent American popular music. They were one of the first American groups to have a racially integrated, mixed-gender lineup and from 1968 through 1973 the band released a series of ground breaking Top Hot 10 hits including
"Dance to the Music"
"Stand"
"Everyday People"
“Hot Fun in the Summertime”
"Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)"
"I Want to Take You Higher"
"Family Affair"
