Chicago Foundation for Women Tea Dance ft. DJ Rexi!

Since 1985, Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW) has been a leader in the movement to achieve basic rights and equal opportunities, investing in women and girls as catalysts building stronger communities for all. Today, more than 37 years later, CFW continues to be the only organization in the region to take a comprehensive approach to understand and address the issues impacting Chicago-area women and girls.

Join us for a Pride Tea Dance on June 18th from 4-7pm! Tea Dances originated in the 1950s as an afternoon gathering for the gay community during tea time as a way to meet other gay singles and members of the community. We honor that tradition during Pride 2023 by hosting an afternoon dance party!

DJ Rexi returns to Dorothy - spinning from 5-7pm! DJ Rexi lives and breaths music and has for as long as they can remember. As an introvert with a performance art background they love the throw down in the DJ booth thus getting the best of both worlds: being charge of the music + a raging dance party without small talk. You can catch them on chirpadio.org (or 107.1 FM if you're local to Chicago's Northside) Wednesday 10-Midnight.

This event is FREE for all! Light appetizers will be served from 5-6pm. CFW members will receive their first drink for free.

Take the opportunity not only get down in the afternoon on a Sunday with us, but to also learn about an awesome organization who has been doing the work for almost 40 years.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Avenue. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please reach out before the show, stop by Split-Rail on your way in or speak with our security person upon arrival.
