SPECIAL GUESTS:
RANDY BACHMAN: A founding member of The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Randy makes his return to the Fest! Also joining us will be Randy’s son, Tal, who had a top hit in 1999 with “She’s So High.” In addition to their prodigious musical talent, Randy and Tal are the hosts of Musical Mystery Tour on The Beatles Channel on SiriusXM.
MICKY DOLENZ: What a thrill it is to welcome Micky back to the Chicago FEST! Micky was one of the Monkees and their lead singer on hits like Last Train to Clarksville, I’m A Believer, and Pleasant Valley Sunday. Micky is a great entertainer and storyteller and is excited about appearing in front of thousands of Beatles Fans.
BILLY J. KRAMER is a living legend from the British Invasion of 1964 led by The Beatles, of course. It is always an honor to have Billy join us at THE FEST.
LAURENCE JUBER joined Wings as lead guitarist the same time Steve Holley joined. They were both brought into the band by Denny Laine. One of our all time favorite guitarists, you will hear why once Laurence picks up his guitar and plays.
STEVE HOLLEY joined Wings around the same time as Laurence Juber, and has been to many Fests over the years.
FREDA KELLY: A native of Ireland, Freda worked for the Beatles from 1962 to 1972, and was president of their fan club. In the early years, Kelly worked with Brian Epstein. Freda’s life was the subject of the fantastic 2013 documentary Good Ol’ Freda.
CHRIS O'DELL is the former Apple secretary and one of rock’s first female tour managers. She was in the studio when the Beatles recorded The White Album, Abbey Road, and Let It Be, and sang in the chorus of the final cut for “Hey Jude.” Chris worked at Apple Records and was at the historic Rooftop Concert on Jan. 30, 1969.
JULIE EVANS is Mal Evan’s daughter and will be joining us to celebrate Mal’s book that Ken Womack so marvelously put together.
BRENDAN HUNT is an award-winning actor, screenwriter and playwright living in Los Angeles, best known for co-creating the international hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso along with Jason Sudeikis, Joe Kelly and Bill Lawrence. He is also an ensemble member for the show, portraying Ted’s trusty assistant, Coach Beard. Brendan’s newest project is the autobiographical solo stage work The Movement You Need, which just completed a sold-out run at the Soho Playhouse in Manhattan. The show explores his complicated relationship with his alcoholic single mom, and the one avenue they had that was easy and in concord — a mutual love of The Beatles.
LIVE CONCERTS:
LIVERPOOL featuring Drew Hill, John Merjave, Glen Burtnik, and Chris Camilleri, is the World’s finest Beatles tribute band. Their amazing nightly concerts highlight every FEST, including the last hour of the concert when they bring up all the musical legends of their time to perform their hits live on our stage. Liverpool kicks things off with Friday's dance party, followed by concerts on Saturday and Sunday.
THE WEEKLINGS are America’s most unique celebration of the music and muse of The Beatles, features former members of Styx, Dave Mason, the original Beatlemania on Broadway, Jon Bon Jovi & The Kings of Suburbia, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes, Bruce Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg’s Jukebox and Fest house band Liverpool.
CELLOPHANE FLOWERS, featuring Jeff Lake, has been gracing the Fest stages since 2015. A guitar, voice, violins, viola, and cello take us on a classical journey through a set of Beatles songs that will blow away all in attendance.
PHIL ANGOTTI & FRIENDS: A legend at the Chicago Fests, Phil and his band will be opening for Liverpool on the main stage on Friday night and performing on the Apple Jam stage throughout the weekend.
THE TAXMEN: a new, Milwaukee-based band of young musicians who are bringing their enthusiasm and passion for the Beatles to Generation Z fans and beyond!
