Chicago Educational Sail aboard Tall Ship Windy

Ahoy! Join us for an exciting educational adventure aboard Tall Ship Windy! Great Lakes history and maritime tradition come alive from the decks of our floating classroom with Windy’s Tall Ship Discovery Sail.

This unique, hands-on learning experience is a great way to enjoy physics, history and storytelling while taking an active part in sailing the vessel. Share the marvel of maritime heritage on the Great Lakes as history comes alive with an exciting educational adventure for curious minds of all ages. Join a group on their sail training mission for hands-on sailing aboard Windy and then muster for learning stations led by our crew-educators. This is approximately a 90-minute sail.

Watch as faces light up with excitement as we turn theory into practice, have real fun and are educated along the way.

RAIN OR SHINE EVENT: In the unlikely event that your tour is cancelled, you may exchange your ticket for another day or receive a full refund.

No-shows will not be eligible for rescheduling or refund. Guests must arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time or risk forfeiture.

The Captain reserves the right to postpone a sail for up to 15 minutes in the case of passing inclement weather.
