About this Event
The Robert R. McCormick Foundation invests in place-based initiatives in Little Village and Englewood as well as United Way Neighborhood Networks in Chicago which include Auburn Gresham, Austin, Brighton Park, Bronzeville, Far South, Garfield Park, and South Chicago. To support our place-based initiatives, we have partnered with DataMade, an organization that specializes in turning complex data into accessible, engaging, and actionable tools, to develop the Chicago Community Dashboard to equip our community partners with the data they need to achieve their goals and help us assess the impact of our collaboration.
This interactive dashboard provides a high-level overview of Chicago’s 77 community areas, aggregating data in three key domains: Health & Safety, Economic Vitality, and Education. The dashboard includes statistics in dozens of categories and allows users to see the data in the context of other neighborhoods and the city as a whole. We will continue to develop the dashboard by adding indicators and analytic tools as well as refining the user experience.
We will be hosting a lunch and learn on Wednesday, October 1st from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Foundation office where our Grants Manager, Ava Schneider, and representatives from DataMade will demo the dashboard and conduct a Q&A session.
