This event is part of the Transatlantic Climate Bridge initiative and will feature a panel discussion with urban gardeners coming all the way from Berlin! As always, you'll have the opportunity to network and connect with fellow climate enthusiasts as well as Chicago and Berlin-based policymakers and leaders in the urban agriculture space.
This event is free, drinks will be provided, and registration is required!

About Chicago Climate Connect: When it comes to the climate, thinking, acting, and connecting locally matters. Chicago Climate Connect is a monthly, in-person event that mixes networking and structured programming to bring together climate-minded folks to meet, inspire, and support each other. Whether you work (or are looking to work) in climate and sustainability professionally, or are interested in getting involved with local initiatives and solutions - we’d love to meet you!
About Transatlantic Climate Bridge: The Transatlantic Climate Bridge (TBC) is a consortium of climate and energy think tanks, consultancies, and NGOs working to improve and coordinate climate policymaking between Germany, the United States, and Canada. TBC is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV).
About GACC Midwest: The German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACC Midwest) strives to further, promote, and assist in the expansion of bilateral trade and investment between Germany and the United States, especially in the Midwest. Over the past decades, GACC Midwest has been organizing delegations on both business and policy topics to forge new avenues of transatlantic collaboration. Previous delegations have included topics such as energy efficiency, smart grids, and offshore wind power.
About Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Chicago: The German Consulate General Chicago is headed by Consul General Michael Ahrens, and is responsible for managing diplomatic relations between Germany and the Midwest.
About your hosts: Events are hosted by the Chicago Climate Connect team - Mackenzie Siren, Matt Pryor, Michael Boeke, and Sunil Mahadeshwar. We are climate-minded Chicagoans who are members of different global online climate communities like Work On Climate, Terra.do, MCJ Collective, and ClimateAction.tech. We saw a need to build a local bridge between these communities and bring other local Chicago groups into the discussion.
