Counterfeit Combat is excited to announce its very first Stage Combat Workshop, taking place in Chicago! Participants of all skill levels are welcome to join and train in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

This unique event brings together a variety of Chicago-based combat companies, offering you the opportunity to explore multiple fighting styles and techniques throughout the day.

As event capacity grows, additional ticket slots will be released—so be sure to check back if the workshop fills up quickly!

Early bird ticketing ends May 20th, after which prices will increase.

Have you ever wanted to know what it takes to emerge victorious as a Gladiator?
In Fight Like a Gladiator, students will learn what it takes to go head to head with
mixed weapons and win the audiences favor or distain.
This open level class will provide general choreograph, creative problem solving,
collaboration, and incorporation of bold acting choices in a fight.
If you’ve wanted to upgrade your acting performances in your fights, this is the
class for you!

Info: In this class we will explore Rapier and Cape. We will learn the basics of how to handle and maneuver this flexible weapon for both defense and offense while bringing the rapier into play.

Info: Learn the way of the Green Destiny! In this class we will explore the movements and concepts of the Shaolin Kung Fu’s Jian and Dao and apply them to stage combat principles. Learn several flow drills and short forms culminating in a set of partnered wushu choreography.

Info: Some Things are timeless. For more than a million years, Humanity has relied on the axe and
the knife as some of our most fundamental tools. However, the difference between a tool and
weapon is simply how it's used.
In this class, we'll explore the origins of these tools turned weapons, as well as why they are
perfect for nearly any stage.
Come learn some basic principles of a weapons system that spans cultures, the world, and
even time.

Info: Many unarmed fights in real life don't include punches and slaps. In this class, we'll explore the messier side of fighting and how to sell the mess to an audience while keeping ourselves and each other safe.

Info: In this knife class you will learn attacks, avoids, and disarms (oh my). How do you navigate choreography when the space starts shrinking?
