Good morning Marshals?, wreath hanging information for you all!?I always think this is a fun time! Please let me know via this post, through messenger, or when Tera sends an email to reply whether or not you'll be able to help out. I'll also create an event that you can say yay or nay to. I'd really like to be able to give numbers by midweek but any last minute folks will always be welcome!We've again been asked to help hang wreaths down Capitol the afternoon of the Christmas parade by The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and Visit Cheyenne. What an honor that they have asked us to be a part of this big day for the last two years and this will be our third! They also have been very kind and have given us a donation every year to help pay for all our Parade days lunches during show. Which helps feed us all at a very low cost!!
I'm going to need the commitment of at least 15-20 horses and riders to lend a hand.
We are wanting to start the wreath hanging ceremony at 3:00 pm on Saturday the 26th. This is the Saturday after Thanksgiving and before the Christmas parade which starts at 5:30.
You can park your trucks and trailers in the Depot parking lot on 15th St. (this is west of the Depot and the same area as in the past). We should probably try to meet and get saddled at about 2:00 pm so we can be down in front of the Depot ready to go at 3:00pm.
If you plan on participating, please wear jeans, boots, and hats. If weather permits and you own a Mounted Marshal vest or coat please wear these so that it helps identify the group.
I hope we can have a wonderful turnout from the Cheyenne Frontier Days Mounted Marshals and continue to represent well! Hopefully the weather will be cooperative.
