Topics of Interest from the Agenda in order:
#6a. Public Hearing for a bar and grill license for Cheba Hut off Pershing.
#8. 2nd Reading-ORDIANCE-Critical Traffic Control Areas; Enhanced Penalties. Allows for an option for Defensive Driving Class if one has a clean record and cleans up language.
This fits our city goal of vehicle safety and promotes law and order; I will be an AYE vote.
#9. 2nd Reading-ORDIANCE-Amending Motor-Assisted Scooters, Electric Bicycles, and Bicycles Equipped with GPS.
This is government overreach with many proposed regulations that would you see more in Washington, DC; San Francisco, etc.
It would only allow one company, essentially creating a state sanctioned monopoly; not one created by the free market.
I will have a substitute (amendments) for 3rd Reading; the draft is ready however I ran on transparency and accountability. I want to be sure the public sees the substitute (amendments) before I offer them.
I may offer some amendments at the meeting depending on the meeting and hearing.
#12-RESOLUTION-Granting an exception for the 201 Agreement for the owner of the property located south of High Plains Road and West of South Greeley. Allow for sceptic system and allow outside water usage.
New information has been brought, I was an AYE vote last city council meeting. I do not think there should be an annexation requirement.
#20 Letter B: Voucher Report-I had three questions; they have been answered. I will provide the report.
