Cheung Chau Island is a great way to enjoy visiting for four hours, or even better, a full day. A popular holiday resort destination with Hong Kongers who want to get away for a weekend, most of the buildings are low-rise and there are NO cars. It is very easy to navigate on foot, by bicycle or by hiring a local sampan.
Join our guide Stephen, who grew up on Cheung Chau for something a little more active, a fascinating glimpse into this outlying island's past and present, with its car-free streets and adventure park, it also allows for cycle hire and extra family fun.
Highlights include: Cheung Po-Tsai's pirate caves, checking your destiny at the Pak Tai Temple, small harbour boat ride and Sai Yuen Adventure Park*

*Optional add on at Sai Yuen Farm, a camping and adventure park with scheduled activities for all ages. For little ones there is the model boating pond, feeding of the goats, or spend an hour of tree climbing practice with Climbing Monkeys (four years and above). And for older children aged eight and above, complete the 10-meter-high tree-top canopy walk with the thrill of a zip-line to finish.
Additional add-on for seafood lunch in Cheung Chau, children may "catch" their own fish.
