Event Format: This orienteering meet is designed for all experience levels, casual hikers, families and groups. Four courses will be available: white (beginner), yellow (advanced beginner), orange (intermediate) and red (advanced).Location: Shelter 20, Chestnut Ridge Park, 6121 Chestnut Ridge Road, Orchard Park (42.714749968064325, -78.76745348650506) Find on Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Q9dHvXdWT1cZyTDVA
Time: Participants may check in at Shelter 20 starting at 10:30 a.m., and may begin a course at any time from 11 a.m. to noon. The time limit is 3 hours.
Cost: The event fee is $5 for members of any orienteering club or $10 for non-members. Juniors (20 and under) who are part of a BFLO family membership participate for free; otherwise, the fee is $5. Registration: Online pre-registration is strongly encouraged at the "tickets" link above to guarantee yourself a map. The registration deadline is 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 11. Note: Each member of a group must register and sign a waiver. Contact the event director if your group is larger than 4 people.
Instruction: If this is your first time orienteering and you would like to attend a beginner’s briefing, there is a place to indicate that in the online registration process. We will contact you to make arrangements.
