ChessPalace Amateur Chess Tournament - May 2024

Our chess club, ChessPalace, is hosting the monthly Amateur chess tournament at SteelCraft Garden Grove .

Open to players of all ages, who would like to play chess competitively, this event is a great way to start playing over the board in a casual atmosphere.

Players will be allocated to a group (depending on the total registrants), and they will play assigned opponents in their group.

We have sections for rated games (an active US Chess Federation profile/membership is required) and non-rated games (US Chess Federation profile/membership is not required for non-rated games.)

Sign in by 11:30 am and games starts 12:00 pm.

Chess boards and pieces will be available for use. If you would like to bring your own, you’re welcome to bring them. If you have a clock, please bring it.

For the rated games section, trophy awards to Top 3 finishers in the rated section;

For the non-rated section, medals for the non-rated games section for those who win more than half of their games.

Entry Fee: $32+eventbrite fee ($45 onsite)
