It's time to grab your pawns polish your strategy and enter the arena at the Junior Joust Chess Tournament — where young minds battle it out one brilliant move at a time!
?️ When: Every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the Month
? Time: First round starts sharply at 11:00 AM
? Where: Temecula Chess Club
? Arrive 5–15 minutes early to check in and be ready for Round 1—no fashionably late grandmasters allowed!
? Who Can Join?
- TCC Members ages 17 & under
- USCF Quick rating 1300 or below
- (If you level up mid-season you’re still in—go win those finals!)
- Must have a USCF membership and Temecula Chess Club membership
♟️ Format & Rules:
- 4-Round Swiss system (G/15 – 15 minutes per player)
- Quick-rated by US Chess Federation
- Earn points toward seasonal finals—5 points gets you in!
? Prizes:
Top 3 players take home shiny medals (and bragging rights of course!)
? Entry Fee: Just $15 to join the action
