While the iconography of Heaven and Hell evokes a certain celestial and ethereal beauty for some, we are very familiar with the weight and trauma those concepts can carry for many. For centuries, these binary constructs have been used as tools of spiritual and systemic subjugation. Historically, religious institutions have functioned as the ultimate gatekeepers of "morality," weaponizing the concept of the "unholy" to marginalize, shame, and cast out queer and trans bodies. From the trauma of conversion efforts to the pervasive rhetoric that our love and our mere existence is a "sin," these doctrines were exclusionary at best, and at worst, designed to deny our very humanity. This party is a deliberate act of subversive reclamation. We don't hide in the shadows of "shame." We choose to bask in the glow of our own divinity. In this space, judgment is null, dogma is dissolved, and we reject the fear-based hierarchies that told us we didn’t belong in the light. If being our authentic, beautiful, and expansive selves makes us "unholy" in their eyes, then we’ll wear that title as a crown. We're turning the concepts of sacred and profane on their heads, in our signature tongue-in-cheek manner, centering our own intersectional holiness in a way that only has to make sense to us.

We aren't begging for a seat at a table that demanded we repent for existing. That's silly. The queers are building our own paradise, babes - and honestly? The guest list is much better. We are the divine. Let’s party.
