Summary of the NESACS Battery team

The Battery Team is a subcommittee of the NESACS Materials Chemistry (MATCHEM) committee and is responsible for organizing the NESACS Battery Symposium, an annual technical conference focused on battery science and energy storage technologies.

The NESACS Battery Symposium was started to capture the rapid growth and increasing importance of batteries across chemistry, materials science, and engineering. By convening researchers from academia, industry, and government laboratories, the Battery Symposium supports the exchange of ideas spanning fundamental materials chemistry through applied and manufacturing‑relevant research. Modeled after other long‑standing NESACS technical symposia, the Battery Symposium is intended to be a recurring event that strengthens the regional battery community, highlights emerging research directions, and fosters collaboration across disciplines and sectors.

Dress is business casual.
