A Chartered Town Planner, Ian has over 20 years’ experience working on projects for a range of clients from both the private and public sectors. He has significant experience in site/land promotion and the plan making process having successfully led the delivery of a number of Development Plan Documents. Ian has also worked on the delivery of a range of complex planning applications. The nature of this work means Ian has proactively negotiated with a range of stakeholders including national agencies and regional and local government to overcome complex planning issues. He also has an excellent understanding of the evidence used to support site/land allocations and planning applications which include Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessments, Housing Needs Assessments, Green Belt Reviews and Sustainability Appraisals.

Transport:

Car parking is not available on the campus but there are many public car parks near at hand. As well as busses and trains serving Chelmsford Bus station and Railway station both are within 15mins walk of ARU. In addition there are two park and ride schemes around Chelmsford both of which run frequent busses to ARU.
