About this Event

Join us for an unforgettable night of food, wine, and community as we celebrate the harvest with a multi-course meal prepared by some of the Okanagan’s finest chefs. Each course will highlight fresh, local ingredients grown by the farms that partner with our program, showcasing the spirit of collaboration that brings Chefs in the Classroom to life.

Proceeds from the evening support our mission to teach Grade 3 students how to grow, cook, and enjoy local food — planting the seeds for lifelong skills and a deeper connection to where our food comes from.

Meet the Chefs

This unforgettable five-course meal will be prepared by some of the Okanagan’s most celebrated culinary leaders:

  • Chef Bernard Cassavant – A pioneer of the Okanagan culinary scene, Bernard has been a mentor to countless chefs. His passion for local, seasonal ingredients has helped shape farm-to-table dining in the region.
  • Chef Kai Koroll – Known for his creativity and leadership at the Okanagan Chefs Association, Kai brings bold flavors and a love for culinary innovation to the table.
  • Chef Terry Port – With decades of experience, Terry is celebrated for his refined technique and deep connection to classic cuisine elevated with modern twists.
  • Chef James Hanna – Executive Chef and educator, James is committed to sharing his love of food with the next generation, both in the kitchen and in the classroom.
  • Chef Brent Durec – With extensive experience and a long-standing commitment to the culinary community, Brent was named Okanagan Chefs Association Chef of the Year in 2019. He is also a past president and the current chair of the Okanagan Chefs Association, where he continues to support and champion local culinary talent.

Each course will highlight seasonal ingredients provided by our farm partners:

  • Paynter’s Fruit Market
  • Homestead Foods
  • Summerhill Pyramid Winery

🌱 Why This Matters

This evening is more than an incredible dinner. Every ticket purchased helps us:

  • Deliver hands-on cooking and gardening lessons to Grade 3 students.
  • Connect kids with local chefs, farmers, and food producers.
  • Plant the seeds for lifelong skills, confidence, and a deeper appreciation of where food comes from.

Seats are limited, and this event will sell out quickly. Help us make a difference in the lives of Okanagan children while enjoying an unforgettable evening of food, wine, and community.
