Join Chef Dominique Ansel to celebrate the launch of his new cookbook, Life's Sweetest Moments (out October 8th). At this intimate event, moderated by NYT best-selling cookbook author Jake Cohen, you'll learn all about his latest creation: a stunning book featuring more than 40 easy-to-follow dessert recipes and the heartwarming stories behind them. Where you might see a cake or cookie, Dominique sees a birthday, a wedding anniversary, a housewarming present, or even an apology. For us, dessert always tastes that much more delicious when you know who baked it for you and the story behind the recipe.You'll also hear about Chef Dominique's approach to pastry and innovation, and sharing his creations and love of baking with the world.
Tickets include: access to the event, light bites and warm apple cider, a signed copy of Chef Dominique's new cookbook, Life's Sweetest Moments, plus a special treat from the book to take home.
Seats are VERY limited and guests will be able to purchase up to 2 tickets per person, so act fast!

When do tickets launch?

Tickets are limited to 2 per person.
When and where is the event?
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8TH, with 2 sessions available: 5:30-6:30PM, OR 7:00-8:00PM, at Dominique Ansel Bakery, 189 Spring Street (btw Thompson & Sullivan Street), New York, NY 10012. We ask that guests please arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure seating. The event will begin promptly at the time selected (either 5:30pm or 7pm).
How much are tickets?
Tickets to the event are $50 (plus taxes and processing fees), and includes admission to the book talk, light bites & beverages, and a signed copy of Chef Dominique's new cookbook, Life's Sweetest Moments, plus a special treat from the book to take home. You must have a confirmed ticket in order to attend. We unfortunately cannot accommodate any walk-ins or ticket requests over the phone or email.
Are there assigned seats?
Seating is open and on a first-come, first-serve basis for guests with a confirmed ticket to attend, but don't worry, there is a seat for every confirmed ticket. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early, so we can seat guests in a timely manner. The event will begin promptly at the time selected (either the 5:30pm session or the 7pm session).
Will there be food and drinks served at the event?
We will be serving warm mini madeleines and warm apple cider from Dominique Ansel Bakery, and you'll be taking home a special treat from the book as well. (Please note, we will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions but cannot guarantee.)
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, you can transfer the ticket to a friend, just let us know the original registrant's name upon check-in.
What is your return policy?
Just like tickets to a sporting event or concert, tickets for this event are final sale and non-returnable or reschedule-able. If you are unable to attend, you can transfer the ticket to a friend to attend in your place (your friend will just need to let us know the original registrant's name upon check-in).
ABOUT DOMINIQUE ANSEL
James Beard Award-winning Pastry Chef, Dominique Ansel has shaken up the pastry world with innovation and creativity at the heart of his work. Chef Dominique has been responsible for creating some of the most fêted pastries in the world, including: the Cronut® (named one of TIME Magazine’s “25 Best inventions of 2013”), The Cookie Shot, Frozen S’more, Blossoming Hot Chocolate, and many more.
For his prolific creativity, he was named the World’s Best Pastry Chef in 2017 by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards. Forthcoming openings are set to debut soon in NYC and in Las Vegas.
Dominique is also the author of three cookbooks: Dominique Ansel: The Secret Recipes (October 2014), Everyone Can Bake: Simple Recipes to Master & Mix (April 2020), and Life's Sweetest Moments (October 2024).
ABOUT JAKE COHEN
Jake Cohen is a two-time New York Times bestselling cookbook author and nice Jewish boy from NYC. After working in some of NYC’s best restaurants and test kitchens, he wrote his first two books, Jew-ish and I Could Nosh, about his love of modern Jewish cooking and baking. His third cookbook is on its way, set to publish in Fall of 2025. Jake and his recipes have been featured on Rachael Ray, The Drew Barrymore Show, Live with Kelly and Mark, Good Morning America, and the Food Network and in the New York Times, Food & Wine, The Wall Street Journal, Bon Appetit, and Forbes (making the 30 Under 30 list for Food and beverage in 2022), among others.
