CLASS DESCRIPTION

I focus on honoring everyones personal growth and path with creativity above all else. LO Art classes are fueled with the passion for helping YOU embrace the beautiful gift of creating while having fun!

I noticed LA was lacking an affordable, friendly-forward place centered on growing the creative force inside of people already. So, the difference between this class and others is simple - I’m not the teacher, you are.

My aim is to facilitate a safe space with all the tools you need to unlock the creativity you already possess.

WHAT TO BRING

There will be smocks, an unintimidating canvas, and materials included with each ticket. If you have anything you want to use for your canvas feel free to bring it. This can include things that inspire you, a photo, magazine, a journal, a favorite book to incorporate quotes from, etc.

I would encourage you to wear something that makes you happy, is comfortable, AND you wouldn’t mind getting a little creativity on…

Bring your favorite Hat - I’ll explain later.

CLASS FORMAT

Come as early as you want to snag those happy hour prices.

Check-in starts at 6:30 where you can pick up your smock and hop down to the bar for your *Smock-discount* where you get a special discount on drinks when you wear your smock.

At 7 I will start with a quick intro on the class, color theory, and a demo with the materials provided - catered towards the theme of the week.

We’ll go over a couple house rules and I’ll explain the hat thing (Don’t worry you’re not painting it).

Then I will lead you through a process with writing and painting that you can be proud of, where there are no mistakes but opportunity for growth.

Paired with your beverage(s) of choice I will put on some tunes and help with any questions or dreams you have.

After you finish you will get the optional opportunity to put the art you make in class on any merchandise you like and have it shipped to anywhere in the world! We’ll photograph it with professional lighting right there.

FINDING THE CLASS DAY OF:

Parking: There is plenty of FREE street parking on both Pico and Robertson, as well as the side streets by the venue.

Warning: to not park in the ally by the back entrance - the other businesses are tow happy.

In the bar: From the front entrance you can walk to the back towards the dart boards, on your right head up the stairs to the third floor!

Hi I’m Lilly! Thanks for showing interest in my Wednesday night Paint and Sip at Founder’s Ale House! I’m an LA based performing and visual artist. Raised in San Francisco and Atlanta I started drawing and painting before I could walk and it has saved my life ever since. I have found more power in drawing and painting and the ability to share it with others than I can put into words. It has changed the way I think and create. My own pieces are now filled with empowerment, a spiritual force and endless ideas. I use art to process the world around me and feelings that come and go. But one of my favorite things to do is create with my friends and I have started LO Art as a way to help do that. I hope you can join me!
