About this Event
Cheap Dirty Horse
Cheap Dirty Horse are a big rowdy queer trash folk-punk six-piece band from Nottingham. Since starting as a busking project in the summer of 2022, the band have continued growing in every sense, from a two-piece to a six-piece, from playing in the streets to playing in grass roots venues up and down the country, and from crappy phone recordings to the dropping of their first five singles. are a big rowdy queer trash folk-punk six-piece band from Nottingham. Since starting as a busking project in the summer of 2022, the band have continued growing in every sense, from a two-piece to a six-piece, from playing in the streets to playing in grass roots venues up and down the country, and from crappy phone recordings to the dropping of their first five singles.
After gaining a little bit of local attention, things really kicked off for the band after their song 'On The Rob' exploded on tiktok, gaining a collective 1 million views across three videos of which two have sadly now been taken down. Since then, they've been playing shows pretty much consistently.
From Nottingham’s finest grassroots venues, to trans rights and trade union protests, to house shows and the series of the new outdoor DIY punk gig scene that they’ve found themselves in the centre of.
2024 was an exciting year for the band as they supported folk-punk legends, Apes of the State, on their first UK tour, played at the first annual Nottinghamshire Trans Pride, and headed all over the country for their own first headline tour which included both Nottinghamshire Pride and Brighton Pride.
Myles Bullen
Myles Bullen is a genre- fluid, art-poet, ukulele-playing punk rapper, from Portland, Maine. Myles has toured nearly every state in the US as well as many European countries performing packed shows at music venues, colleges, recovery centers, prisons, festivals, and libraries.
As a person in long term recovery from addiction, Myles sings and screams songs about grief, mental health, addiction, navigating identity, relationships, and cartoon lore. They released their most recent album, timetokill, on indie record label, Fake Four Inc. They love doing shows and their dog Finn.
Myles has played shows w/ Sage Francis, Kimya Dawson, Codefendants, and Apes of the State.
Efa Supertramp
Efa Supertramp is a Welsh folk-punk grrrl who comes armed with an acoustic guitar and a powerful voice. Efa’s songs are angry but uplifting; railing against money, power and greed whilst having a zest for life and freedom. Her anger at an unjust world is combined with constructive solutions and hope for a better future. Efa deftly combines elements of her influences to pay tribute to those who fought for equality in previous generations – showing that protest music is far from dead.
Cosmo
Cosmo is “a one-man folk-punk phenomenon.” (Miniature Music Press). Over the course of 14 albums and 30 years of touring, he has established himself as a formidable voice on the UK and international underground.
He has appeared at Glastonbury, the Edinburgh Fringe and other major UK festivals, as well as touring across the UK, Europe, North and South America and the Middle East. In that time, he has shared stages with Billy Bragg, Frank Turner, Grace Petrie, John Cooper Clarke, Mark Thomas and more. Cosmo has won awards at the Edinburgh fringe and Hay fringe festivals.
An activist as well as a musician, Cosmo has also performed at countless picket lines, protest camps, rallies and demos, as well as being involved with community organising.
