Talk 02 - Humanitarian Architecture & Corporate Social Responsibility Panel Discussion with Dean Landy, David Anderson and other special guests.
Hosted By: TBC
Hear from charity founders, humanitarian architects and leaders in the Corporate Social Responsibility realm about their experiences and advice on how architects and businesses can make a real impact in the world.

Dean Landy has been a Partner at ClarkeHopkinsClarke for over 15 years and is the driving force behind the practice mission of ‘Creating Vibrant Communities’. In 2016 he wrote and published his first book of the same name to serve as a practical guide to creating stronger communities through the development process.
Dean is the Founder and Director of One Heart Foundation, a ‘for purpose’ organisation that is working to break the poverty cycle in Africa, and change the future of orphaned and abandoned children.
His experience spans a wide range of sectors. His network crosses industries, demographics and indeed, the globe. His ability to reach out, engage and bring people of various backgrounds together on a project, has paved the way for many mutually beneficial partnerships and the creation of places that future generations will live, work, learn and connect within meaningfully.
David Anderson is a Humanitarian Architect with over 25 years of experience in Health, Commercial, Residential and Humanitarian Architecture.
His Humanitarian architecture has included leading teams of architects and students to Nepal to construct schools, kindergarten and village facilities totalling over 25 completed projects in Nepal with Aussie Action Abroad and Architects Without Frontiers. David’s humanitarian Missions include deployment on Mission to the UNHCR, the cross Border operation (Turkey | Syria), Head of Site Planning for the Rohingya response in Cox's Bazar and Shelter Officer with UNHCR Romania on the Ukraine Crisis.

Amy and Karrie have committed to running a full marathon and fundraising $30,000 as we take part in Run From Poverty 2023.

Run From Poverty is an experience which exists for two primary reasons:

  • To raise funds to break the poverty cycle through empowering children to fulfil their potential.
  • To provide an immersive experience; empowering participants with a defined sense of purpose, leadership development and a pathway to make our impact in the world.

The following video also provides a small snapshot of the experience we will be undertaking: Run From Poverty Experience

Ticket prices are a direct donation towards our $30,000 fundraising goal which we aim to surpass before we land in Kenya mid July.
