Oklahoma City noise rock quartet, Chat Pile, have returned with their follow-up to 2022’s breakout album, ‘God’s Country’, with ‘Cool World’ - undoubtedly one of the very best records you will hear in 2024!!
Their unrelenting and outlandish sound melds eclectic genre stylings, with examples of goth-tinged dirges to abrasive yet anthemic alt/indie-esque hooks and off-kilter metal grooves, rooted in sludgy, noise rock. The bands output evokes the imagery of a dying planet, dissecting core themes of violence.
