Charming Disaster is a goth-folk musical duo based in Brooklyn, NY, formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the macabre humor of Edward Gorey, Tim Burton and Charles Addams, the M**der ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write playfully dark songs that tell stories about death, crime, myth, magic, science, and the occult. Charming Disaster’s music has been featured on the podcast Welcome to Night Vale, they have toured the United States and Europe, and have opened for Rasputina, Voltaire, and The Dresden Dolls. Recent appearances include Dragon Con, the Rochester Fringe Festival, and the Coney Island Sideshow stage. They are on tour behind their new album, THE DOUBLE (out May 16)

The Fiddle Witch spawned in Rochester, New York in October 2019 at The Spirit Room and captivates audiences with dark Scandinavian folk music on an ancient instrument. She has honed her craft at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland and the Eric Sahlström Institute in Tobo, Sweden and plays music for listening rooms and for folk dancing. The Fiddle Witch, a.k.a. Alyssa Rodriguez, performs traditional and original music from her travels on Swedish nyckelharpa (keyed fiddle). She has sold out her one woman show at Rochester Fringe Festival both in 2022 and in 2024, and headlined the American Swedish Institute’s Midwinter Festival in 2022.Stephanie Strange weaves song and story together, of hope and mourning from the past, present, and possible futures of humanity. Whimsical and playful, wry and cutting in turns, the music of Strange and the Familiars will leave you feeling connected and less alone in a world going mad.
