About the Show:

Charmed, I’m sure…A Queer Witch Ritual Cabaret

An homage to the tradition of ritual dramas, “Charmed, I’m Sure…” is a seasonal invocation of the Witch’s Altar through queer cabaret; hosted by The Spirits of Fate: Tsarina Hellfire, MoonBear & Bimbo Yaga and features performances from a rotating coven of witches and a seasonal market of local magic makers. Once a season the witches gather to summon the elements in joyful celebration of the waning past while empowering the threshold of future gifts and heartbreaks still to come. This show is as much ceremony as it is performance art. Each seasonal showcase will be opened with invocations of the elements, creatures, and forces of the season being celebrated; with each act an altar and each performer a conduit of elemental, ancestral, and spiritual power. As the show progresses the ritual transforms the energy of the past season into a blessing for the audience to carry into the coming season, concluding with a release of the energy raised through a final performance; all held in sacred space by our hosts, The Three Fates.

A final note, each performance will center a community altar, every audience member is welcome to bring a seasonal petition to place on the altar. Petitions can be a written declaration of intention for the upcoming season, a prayer to honor what you are sacrificing, requests to the spirits for needed support. These petitions and any offerings made will be carried to the river by The Three Fates, following the end of the performance.
