Performers:
Rae Spoon is a musician, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and author. They have released twelve solo albums(Coax Records)spanning folk, country, indie rock, and electronic genres and published three books (Arsenal Pulp Press). Raehasbeen nominated for two PolarisPrizes, a Lambda Literary Award, and a Western Canadian Music Award. They have toured internationally (Canada, Europe, the USA, Australia, China). Rae is a non-binary, trans artist who lives with multiple disabilities. Their most recent album, Not Dead Yet(2023), was written about their lived experience of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and complications.

Nikkie Gallant is a prolific songwriter, writing in several genres. Catherine MacLellan has referred to Nikkie as a “master of the bridge.” Nikkie performs heart-aching indie pop songs, featuring lush vocals and tremolo-laced guitar sounds. These songs have earned Nikkie recognition from the International Songwriting Competition, and Music PEI with multiple award nominations, including Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year, and Pop Album of the Year.

Nikkie's newest album, Subtle Motions, went to number one at CKDU Halifax. Songs have been playlisted by Exclaim! and No Depression. Two collaborative singles were also released recently with New Brunswick's Kylie Fox.

PEI Queer Choir is a space for 2S/LGBTQIA+ people of all singing levels to gather joyfully and explore their voices. We endeavour to build an inclusive, accessible and supportive community through song. Intersectional celebration and liberatory action are at the forefront of all we aim to do.

Parking:
There is one accessible spot and 4 standard spots in front of the CH. Folks can also park in front of the historic house, where there is a large u-shaped driveway that holds about 12-15 vehicles. (Please contact about accessible parking).
Access Details:
This is a dry, all-ages event
Please bring outdoor seating and blankets.
Please avoid wearing scented products
The audience will be seated outdoors on the lawn. The ground is grass, bumpy in places and has some slope in places.
There is a ramp into the carriage house where the washrooms and indoor performance (in case of rain).
There are two larger bathroom stalls on the same level as the entrance in the carriage house. The larger stalls are 8 inches too small inside and at the door to be considered accessible for all mobility devices. There are metal grab bars installed in each stall of these stalls, also a sanitary napkin receptacle in all stalls, changing tables in both washrooms. There will be gender-neutral washrooms.
The outdoor light posts are damaged, so some folks may have a harder time seeing when it gets dark. The event ends around sunset at 9pm. Please bring a phone with a flashlight or flashlight. Volunteers with flashlights will also be around.
COVID Harm Reduction:
Please be respectful of masked folks outdoors.
Masking is required if we move indoors (respirator masks recommended).
The solo performers and people with access issues will be unmasked for portions of the evening.
Extra KN95 masks will be available at the door courtesy of Peers.
COVID self-testing is encouraged before the event.
If you have a positive test or know you have been in contact with COVID, we ask that you please stay home in the interest of collective community care and safety.
We will have a HEPA filter fan and a CO2 Monitor if events move inside.
This event takes place in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People.
5% of proceeds from the door after expenses will be donated to Crips 4 eSIMs 4 Gaza.
