To celebrate World Lindy Hop Day join us for a whole afternoon dedicated to learning partnered Lindy Charleston with teachers Lee & Seema, and Shell & Tim. We have two rooms booked at the Lifecare Centre so that we can offer two levels of workshop for the whole afternoon.WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
Level 1 ~ Mastering the foundations
In this level teachers Lee & Seema will kick off the afternoon to cover the basics of Lindy Charleston - footwork, rhythm, pulse and connecting with your partner. Shell & Tim will then follow up with a review of the basic side-by-side Charleston, building to some simple new moves focusing on seamlessly connecting the parts.
Level 2-3 ~ Expand your repertoire!
In this level Shell & Tim will kick off the afternoon with flying and tandem Charleston variations and figures. Lee & Seema will follow with a look at fun variations from side by side using momentum and stretch to create dynamic patterns.
WORKSHOP LEVELS
Choose your level depending on your previous Charleston experience:
Level 1: You are a complete beginner or have very limited experience in partnered Charleston. This workshop will teach the foundations of partnered Charleston, working on technique to then move on to some simple moves that will have you kicking up a storm on the dancefloor!
Level 2-3: You have mastered the foundations of partnered Charleston, and you are comfortable with the rhythms, pulse and connecting with your partner. You have experience of tandem Charleston, but perhaps it needs a little more work. You are looking to add to your repertoire of moves to add some styling and energy to the dancefloor!
AFTERNOON TIMETABLE
The afternoon will be split into two workshop sessions, with a 30 minute break in the middle to rest and re-fuel. At 5pm both levels will come together to enjoy an hour of social dancing!

1.30-3pm ~ Workshop Part 1
3-3.30pm ~ Break
3.30-5pm ~ Workshop Part 2
5-6pm ~ Social Dancing
