On Friday, November 21, the iconic American Theater will set the stage for Charleston Jazz’s most dazzling celebration of the year — our Annual Charleston Jazz Gala.The evening’s spotlight performance features world-renowned, two-time GRAMMY® Award–winning jazz drummer Quentin E. Baxter and Friends, whose electrifying artistry will ignite the room. You’ll also be moved by the extraordinary young musicians of the Charleston Jazz Academy, sharing their passion and talent as they perform the music of the next generation.
Guests will savor a delicious dinner, enjoy an open bar, and bid on one-of-a-kind items in our live and silent auctions. During our Fund-a-Need paddle raise, you’ll have the opportunity to directly support jazz education and performance in our community. We’ll also proudly present the Tip of the Hat Award to honor jazz luminary and SC native Houston Person for making a lasting impact on the jazz art form.
