We are very excited to invite you to New Orleans (January 6-11) for a New Year’s seminar with Charles Colten Sensei!
Kangeiko: At this coldest time of year, we will fire up our practice by adding early morning classes (7-8 am) during the week, hold regular classes, and culminate with a weekend kagami biraki seminar.
Kagami Biraki: New Year’s Aikido training with sake-celebration and firepit-intention-setting during the Saturday evening pot-luck dinner and party.

Charles Colten Sensei, 6th Dan Aikikai, Founder and Director of Aikido in the Schools, is a direct student
(deshi) to Endo Shihan and has also been greatly influenced by other mentors including Shihan(s) Jan Nevelius and Jorma Lyly and Sensei(s) Seigo Okamoto and Mary Heiny.
An eternal student who is deeply informed by the living world, Charles considers the study, practice, and sharing of Aikido as “his lens, his window, his mirror, his medicine…and an endless wellspring of knowledge, wisdom, and joy.”
