The reason behind the ball:
Last July, my family’s world changed when my grandad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It came completely out of the blue. Within weeks, everything we thought we knew about time, health, and the future shifted. Macmillan were there to guide us through the uncertainty, offering support when we needed it most. In his final days, Rowcroft Hospice provided a level of care and compassion that we will be forever grateful for, allowing us to be together as a family and say our goodbyes with love and dignity.
That experience is the reason behind this event. No family should have to go through something like that alone — and thanks to these incredible organisations, they don’t have to.
By attending, you’re not just dressing up and enjoying a great night — you’re helping fund vital care, supporting families in their darkest moments, and turning personal loss into hope for others.
Let’s come together, celebrate life, and make a difference 💚
