This shape-shifting pop ensemble blends sample-heavy, groove-based indie rock with the lush orchestration and swirling psychedelia of ’60s pop. By stitching together melodic fragments, vintage textures, dusty drum loops, and orchestral flourishes, they create hypnotic pop vignettes that feel both hauntingly familiar and distinctly unique.

THE GARMENT DISTRICT
The Garment District crafts vibrant, psychedelic pop that effortlessly blends cinematic atmosphere with experimental edge. Their music unfolds like a technicolor dream, where baroque pop and collage-based sound design all converge in a kaleidoscopic display of analog depth and melodic futurism. Led by multi-instrumentalist and composer Jennifer Baron, a founding member of The Ladybug Transistor (Merge Records), The Garment District features a constellation of close friends: Mike Kelly, Corry Drake, Maggie Negrete, Erik Cirelli, Katie Tighe and Harry Scarrott. Their latest album, "Flowers Telegraphed to All Parts of the World," is available on orange vinyl (pressed by Third Man) via Happy Happy Birthday to Me Records (Athens, Georgia). The band plans to head into the studio soon to start working on a new album.

Elephant 6 stalwart Derek Almstead (Circulatory System, The Olivia Tremor Control, The Glands, Elf Power, Of Montreal, and more) and Emily Growden’s (Faster Circuits, Marshmallow Coast) retro-futurist post-punk duo Giant Day is touring the East Coast in support of their new album ‘Alarm’ (Elephant 6 Recording Company, 2025). ‘Alarm’, an urgent, darkly danceable synth-drenched exploration of modern political anxiety, is an evolution from the only-slightly sunnier pop of 2024’s debut ‘Glass Narcissus’.
