Characters of the Neighbourhood - The Men & Women of Pyrmont

Join us and members of the local Pyrmont community as they tell stories of reflections on their lives in Pyrmont - and how they all morph into a wonderful mosaic to create one of the liveliest, densest, most diverse communities in Sydney.

There are stories of First Nations people, migrants and people from around Australia who moved to Pyrmont. All forming an unique community soaked in history, struggle, industry, solidarity and independence.

We will also look at the history and importance of migration in shaping the face of Australia today.

These stories are featured in the recently released books The Men & Women of Pyrmont.

Copies of the books will be available for sale and signing by the author.
