This workshop is designed to help you explore new ways of expressing character, emotion, and narrative through movement, going beyond dialogue to fully embody your role.
Through dynamic exercises and guided improvisation, youβll develop a deeper physical connection to your characters, enhancing your presence on stage. Whether youβre preparing for a role or simply seeking to expand your craft, this workshop will offer tools to build confidence, creativity, and a more profound understanding of how movement can shape a performance, and unlock new layers of expression.
Instructor:
Nena (she/her) is an award-winning actor, mask artist, and intimacy professional (IDC) whose theatre practice weaves within it elements of connection, compassion, and holistic wellness. An alumni of DellβArte International School of Physical Theatre, she is passionate about cultivating a thriving, socially-conscious arts ecology. Outside of the rehearsal room, Nena works as the Executive Director of Theatre Saskatchewan where she champions avocational theatre throughout the province.
