Character Illustration Kids Summer Camp

This camp is perfect for anyone who loves to make up characters! In this camp. students will learn about the art of character design and illustration. Understanding how the elements of design play into good character illustration and plenty of time to practice drawing characters will help students feel more confident in their illustrations.
They will be prompted to imagine their own new or existing characters and illustrate them using a variety of skills and techniques to help enhance their own style of illustration.
Together, we will:
Brainstorm effective characters and styles for each student
Learn the elements of good character design and illustration
Explore shape language and learn and how to use it to make designs stronger
Sketch and illustrate characters in different positions
By the end of the camp students will have design sheets of their characters for them to use in their creative journey moving forward.
