Character First: Creating People Who Drive the Story

If you struggle with plot, the answer might be simpler than you think – start with character. This workshop focuses on building vivid, believable people whose choices and contradictions naturally generate story.
You’ll develop a character from the ground up, exploring voice, desire, flaws and backstory, before placing them into different situations to see how they respond. By the end, you’ll have a fully realised character, a stronger grasp of motivation and voice, and multiple story directions you could take next. Ideal for anyone who wants their writing to feel more natural, engaging and alive.
